After completing this activity, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:
1.Describe the neurobiology of sleep and ES
2. Characterize the behavioral, physiologic, and biopsychosocial consequences of ES in patients with disorders commonly encountered in neurologic practice
3. Conduct a differential diagnosis of sleep disorders based in part on medical, psychiatric, and sleep histories; symptomatology; validated questionnaires; and objective laboratory findings
4.Explain how to implement evidence-based management plans specifically designed to treat the identified sleep disorders or disturbances in patients with diverse neurologic disorders

Program Overview
The overall aim of this program is to improve accuracy of diagnosis of patients with excessive sleepiness (ES), highlighting the specific etiologies that can manifest as ES in neurology practice and selecting management strategies targeted appropriately to achieve the best possible outcomes for patient care.
